Hey, a great document from
iPod Linux on the dock connector config will give some technical info. The line out dock needs to have 3 pins enabled. There are a ton of other pins, but none of these matter as long as they are not enabled. All the line out dock needs is the Left channel, right channel, and the ground pins. As far as I know.
