Hi lextek,
I am mainly using the iMod + Vcap dock combo as the source for my 2-channel home audio system, which also consists of:
Red Wine Audio Signature 30 (
http://www.redwineaudio.com/Signature_30.html) or Signature 70s, and the new DeVore Fidelity "Nines" speakers.
I am also playing the iMod + Vcap dock combo with a prototype headphone amp driving a pair of AKG 701s

Yes, this is what I recommend, but make sure that the output of the dock is also connected to a load (i.e. your headphone amp) so electrical current will actually flow to burn in the caps.
