I couldn't get a hold of a pair of V6 even for demo-ing... a store locally sells MDR-7506s but those snobs wouldn't let me try them out either (maybe I need some bling bling on me next time)
The V7 looks pretty much the same as the V6, except for a groove going across at the back of its cans... The V7 has 50mm sapphire evapourated drivers while the V6 has 40mm mylar drivers... The V7's freq. response range is 5-30,000Hz while the V6 is 10-22,000Hz... V7 has straight cord with gold plug, V6 has curled up cord with nickel plug... V7 cannot be folded up like the V6... The V7 is technically and physically identical to the MDR-CD900ST... There should be minimal difference between the V7 and V6 in terms of sound as some older head-fi threads pointed out... might wanna do a thread dig on this one...
