not all chinese stuff is bad. they can be really good in quality if they want to. in fact (you might know this already), a lot of sony, senn, panasonic etc are manufactured in china.

that said, the pk series are built very sturdy. this is a widely accepted fact on the chinese audiophile forums, and some people have put them up to a lot of abuse. my pk2 came out of the box yesterday and already the cord has straightened out (omx52 cord hasn't entirely straightened out after 2 months). the company also has a life-long guarantee on the cord (1 or 2 year for the drivers).
