with my experience, I use my thumb, index finger, and middle finger to hold the bulb of a vacuum tube, and insert it into the tube socket with moving backward and forward slightly, and you feel the tube inserting into the socket completely.
I had listened to the wa4 once, it gave me unforgettable impression! but $1150 is a big number for me.
