Hi Guys...long time no hear...
I have the Live8 Africa Calling concert on DVD and Mariza is on that. Great music, but made just slightly weird with the pull-back shots of the crowd looking somewhat bemused in the Cornish sun. I suspect in the right setting she and her band would blow you away.
Getting real excited as this Wednesday eve I am off to see Genticorum at my local night spot. They are from Montreal and were a total blast when they played here last year. 3 man band in the style of La Bottine, but that probably doesn't do them nearly enough justice. Ha!!! Can't wait...
