ok it's time for this thread to be "bumped" again, just wondering if anyone has heard anything new as of late? As for me, i recently acquired Cheb I Sabbah's "La Kahena" and let me tell you, this album imo is amazing, it's mostly female vocals with all kinds of influences (morrorco, amazigh culture, "middle eastern," north african etc) and is worth getting, take a look here on cheb i sabbah's site, you can listen to some clips and get a feel of the album and other works:
