As I just posted in the 5 newest cd's thread, I made out really well for my birthday..Picked up a few new ones;
Orchestre National Des Barbes - Poulina. Awesome stuff from the Barbery coast by way of France..If you like Rai styling or Khalid or Rachid Taha hunt down this mobs output. Only 2 cd's that I'm aware of (wouldn't that be great if theres more from them that had escaped me? I should be so lucky
) and I have both. It's a tough call between this one and their Live one.
Hi- Fidelity Dub Sessions, Chapter One. My ancient ol' bro sent this all the way from Oz (Perth to be exact) and it's cool like Tosca. Maybe shouldn't be in the world music thread but it did come from down under.
Vartina - Ilmatar. Finnish band with stunning vocals great just great..
And last, but not least, my lovely wife got me a triple box set from Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares which included Vol 1, Vol 2, and Ritual. You all know how awesome their stuff is so I won't ramble on any more.
Poor ol Acidtripwow (my CD exchange partner) has a tough act to follow
