I didn't mean to give the impression it was fatiguing in an absolute sense

The K1000 gives a
very pleasurable listening experience for me as well, but it does have more treble energy than the 650/hp2 in my setup, which my ears are sensitive to. Still, in practice it isn't an issue unless I try to listen fairly loudly for a long time. Really, it sounds so good it's going to be one of my top favorite (if not THE favorite) ways to listen to music. If amps and cables make it any better - WOW.
I was just trying to back up why I said they weren't flawless (in a previous post) and I guess it came out sounding like a bad review of these cans - anything but! I'm totally in awe of these
