Looks like I will not get my JH13 for vacation, they can not get it done my tomorrow and I will be leaving early Saturday for a week and half. I guess I have to use my UM3x for the plane ride.

When I decided to purchase the JH13 (yesterday), I got my impressions, filled out the order form, and shipped them all before 4PM on the same day.

So I get a UPS package today. It was unexpected because I never got a tracking number from JHA. I sent my JH13 back for a re-fit and they came back within a week. I guess they decided to include a fancy manual. I think it would help a lot of new custom IEM owners. Here are some pics.

Nice to see some real packaging material. Not really that crazy about the rebadged Otterbox. The box wrap looks like it's for designer candy or soap. Fo some reason it makes me think of condom box art as well. I guess that would go well with the whole "Aural Sex" theme. LOL.

The manual graphics are nicer, but weird that it's much longer than the box.

Glad I got the Carbon Fiber box. Sure it's more bling than function, but I use the old UE metal tin as it's much smaller (than the Otterbox even) and very strong and pocketable. The Otterbox is still too large to be realistically considered pocketable. (unless you count cargo pockets.)

wow, lovely packaging! im considering a custom IEM and be done with others (IEMs) once and for all, seems like this is gonna be the one.

you'll never be done. another company will be out with a great erphone and all of headfi will slather over a place in queue to listen to it. i'll be ahead of you, only because i will not have customs always in and will hear the call to dine with the marvel. you will be there too, but later... trust me.

Are you sure it'll be another company? Jerry Harvey seems to be on the bleeding edge in this market, ever since the UE10 and then the UE11.

There are custom IEM companies currently only available in Japan, I'm not surprise they will come out a better version than JH13.

I think JH13 will be my last custom for a long while.

i am sort of being facetious, but in this hobby, there is always another better something and whether really better or not, something will come along to dethrone the king - there is no doubt that this will happen; it is just part of marketing this hobby, and for others, of completing their work.

Hey, didn't know there's a MU fan here

I also thought of having that artwork for mine but considering it has quite a lot details, I don't think it would turn out nice.
