Hisound Firmware and Directions

Hello guys Jack from Hisound just provided me with the updated Studio V and Rocoo P/BA firmwares as well as directions. I decided to make a faq page as it will give others the ability to add updated firmwares and such regarding Hisound products in a centralized area.

Update: Guys I'm being told now that there are some compatibility issues with larger files types (FLAC and I'm not sure with WAV) as well as the files not showing up in alphabetical order. So just letting you know. I'm also hearing that you can only load this firmware via Windows XP? I'm not sure I'll give it a try to just see what is going on but that also needs to be addressed because I am able to use the older firmwares on Windows 7.... Anyways if you need to revert back you can use the Hisound firmware thread to acquire the older firmwares for all 3 players. I'm removing the links for now. Once they fix these issues I'll repost the updated firmwares. Sorry.

Cheers

only works with XP? you sure?
So which file do we run for the update?
KT66,
It says to, "
Take the Window Xp as the example, other system should be similar to it, please try it by yourself."So it will be fine in Win 7 and 8.
Any information what these firmware do? What have they added and changed?
They make you much more likely to throw your device against a wall ;).
Lol, I tried the Studio 3rd Anv at a local shop and the UI was very hard to get around.
With the currently working firmware it's not so bad but it could be better. Simply put the back button is stupid as it forces you out of the folder you are currently in. This makes it inconvenient. If you can just go back 1 menu at at time it would be much more ideal as you can continue to select other tracks in folder view opposed to having to blindly scroll through songs in the folder. Or go back to the root menu and having to click your way back through all those screens.... Then if they can make the options you select all be remembered I think this player would be quite a contender. Well also lower hiss further. These are basic things that need to be addressed if they ever want to take a bigger share of the market.
Any idea when the new firmware will become available?
Nope I have none and I wouldn't hold my breath with hisound sadly :(. If it happens it happens.
